La Corsa Rosa
May 20-27, 2013 $3195
We've always loved the Giro, in fact we met during the 1989 edition. While we've offered a few live viewing options over the years for that race in July in France, we've visited La Corsa Rosa only on a personal level, whether it was the famous Montalcino stage in 2010, the Finestre in 2011 or most recently the Cervinia stage in 2012. We've decided to share the experience with a limited number of you. Join us during the final week of the pink race and see two decisive stages live, in-person and ride on the storied route.

May 20 - Overnight flight to Milan's Malpensa airport
May 21 - Arrive at our northern Italian HQ in the Monferrato wine region. Assemble and fine-tune your bike (or be fitted for one of ours) then take a warmup ride through the vineyards that produce the local Barbera wines. Catch the day's Giro stage on live TV before we toast the start of the tour, followed by a dinner of Piemontese specialties in the Ristorante della Villa.
May 22 - Morning van transfer to Vicenza, home of CAMPAGNOLO and the finish of stage 17. Check into our lodging just steps away from the finish line and enjoy the festivities before the gruppo races into town, remembering 30 years ago when the famous founder of Campagnolo, "Tullio" passed away. If the famous component maker (and official supplier to CycleItalia) has special plans, we'll be there. Open night for dinner in the lively town.
May 23 - Morning van transfer to Mori, near Lake Garda to see (and ride?) the chronoscalata course of stage 18. Will the Maglia Rosa change hands today? Once that's been decided we'll transfer to Cortina d'Ampezzo for three nights. Open night for dinner in the city called Queen of the Dolomites.
May 24 - Enjoy one of the best buffet breakfasts in all of Italy, then settle in to watch the racing action on stage 19 live on TV as the racers tackle Passo Gavia, Stelvio and the finish at Val Martello. Perhaps you'd rather tackle Passo Cibiano, Staulanza and the fearsome Giau yourself? It's your choice! Enjoy dinner in the lively town as we await tomorrow's arrival of La Corsa Rosa.
May 25 - Today's the tappone! From Silandro the racers will face the Passo Costalunga, Pellegrino, Tre Croci and Giau before the infamous Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Ride your own bike on race-route over Passo Tre Croci and as far up Tre Cime as you dare (or can) to await the penultimate stage of the Giro 2013. Post-race, ride back to our luxury hotel or meet up with our support van for a transfer. We'll enjoy one final night in Cortina to toast the Giro vincitore.
May 26 - Return to Hotel Ariotto, pack your bike and get ready for a farewell dinner as we toast the end of our tour as well as the new champion of La Corsa Rosa.
May 27 - Morning airport shuttles.
