Gran Sasso Bicycle

Like the Brianza, the Gran Sasso is made for us in a little shop in Northern Italy. When we visited them in April, 2000, I was surprised to see that there were only five employees. I like this. Consistently, we have found we get the best product out of little workshops that are dedicated to making fine, beautiful bikes and bike parts. Like the Brianza, you'll find that the workmanship is superior to the more famous, mass-produced brands. I believe that you will be well-repaid for seeking out our bikes.

The Gran Sasso answers the many requests we have for a moderately priced bike with a triple chainring. By the way, Gran Sasso is a mountain in Italy that regularly figures in the Giro d'Italia. It seemed appropriate to name our triple bike for a legendary, tough climb.

So, hit the road, no matter how tough it is, and get that Torelli ride from a nice, hand-crafted steel frame, made by people who care.

Tubeset: Columbus' "New Thron" tubeset. Made from 25CrMo4 Cromoly steel, Thron is now drawn to 0.5mm in the main tubes, making it an excellent, lightweight, resilient material for high-performance frames when price is an important consideration.

Frameset: TIG welded with classic stage-racing geometry. Please see the chart at the bottom of the page for geometry specifics. The fork uses our standard investment-cast Walter B-41 fork crown to improve the handling and feel of the bike rather than use a harsher and cheaper unicrown fork. Available in even sizes, 48cm to 62cm, measured center to center. Candy Apple red, Gios Blue.

Group: Campagnolo Mirage triple. The picture shows silver parts but the 2005 Campagnolo Mirage groups are back anodized. No pedals.
